Tukuche Peak climbing

Tukuche Peak climbing is located just in front of Dhaulagiri Himal with Annapurna ranges on the other side, Tukuche peak is a rather wonderful mountain. The mountain’s location at the north side one of the wildest valley of Nepal (Hidden Valley) along with Kaligandaki River flowing through its bottom makes it probably the most popular mountaineering destinations in Nepal. Tukuche Peak climbing route to Tukuche follows through the classic Annapurna ultimately diverting from Marpah village to the west Yak Kharkha and Tukuche Base Camp. Approximately 6 days are required for acclimatization and preparation in the Basecamp before a summit can be made to this mountain via its North East Ridge. First climbed in 1969 by the Swiss mountaineering team, a total of 38 expeditions have been undertaken to this mountain until 2007 of which only 19 teams have been successful in making the bid that included a total of 72 climbers. The advance Base camp is set at 5,100 meters while Camp 1 is established at 5,600 meters and Camp II at 6,100 meters.
The Tukuche Peak climbing offers magnificent views of many Himalayan ranges such as Annapurna ranges, Tilicho peak, Nilgiri and also beautiful Thakali villages of Marpha, Tukuche, Syang, and Jomsom. This expedition is considered to be low risk but involves technical climbing. So, usually, most of the climber make their own way using only camp 1 and camp 2 (6,100m.) via North West ridge to get to the summit.
