Ghandruk Village trek
Ghandruk village trek take us to the altitude of 1970 m from the sea level which is a small village inside ACAP. It is located in foot hill of Annapurna at North West Lake City Pokhara in western Nepal. It is popular in trekking route in Nepal as Gurung village. Ghandruk is the gateway of trekking trail at Annapurna region (especially for Annapurna Base camp and Annapurna century trek).
Ghandruk enhances land of the Gurung people (tamus) and second largest village after sickles. Most of the Gurung people were inhabitants here which is one of the major ethnic community of Nepal as know Gurung village. Where they have their own unique tradition, culture, and language. The trek started after approximately one and half hour driven from Pokhara and then 4-5 hours walking uphill ascends from the Valley of Modi River after passing the suspensions bridge at Birethanti.
Trekking in Ghandruk village is one of the short trek, easy wonderful trekking destinations among the Annapurna Region. It is one of the best alternative choice for those trekkers or the traveler who are actually in Nepal but have a quite limited time period for trekking or seeking for short adventure with lots of fun for the lifetime experience in Nepal. It is a short duration and easy trail for beginner to walk and not highly physical difficulties. It is easy to walk around 4-5 hours per day starting from 940 m up to 1970 m altitude.
This trek offers specular background views from charming villagers with the snowcapped Himalayan range above 8000 m Mt. Annapurna south, Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail) and Dhaulagiri. The trail goes through the rhododendron forests, Landruk, Dhampus village is one of the good chance to observe the different species of rhododendron flower, flora and fauna and traditional lifestyle of village peoples in the countryside of Nepal at Annapurna Region. Besides this natural landscapes on the trail is amazing to experience.

Trip Itinerary
Arrival in Kathmandu
At your arrival at a Tribhawn international airport, Kathmandu our office representative from Alfresco Adventure Travel wait for you outside at Arrival gate with your Name card. Our team will welcome and collect your all baggage at the airport. By formal introduction with the representative, you will be transferred to your hotel. And In the evening you will enjoy complimentary welcome dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant with Nepalese cuisine. Overnight at hotel.
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara
The natural city Pokhara situated 200 km west from the Capital city Kathmandu and takes 5-6 hours bus drive and 33-minute flight. After early morning breakfast we starts travel around at 7:00 am from Kathmandu and follows the side of Trishuli River. Evening short walk around the city and Overnight at the Hotel.
Drive around 1 hour from Pokhara to Dhampus phedi
It takes approximately 1 hour from Pokhara to Dhampus Phedi, along the Pokhara Baglung highway goes through on the bank of Seti River. Around 2 hours hike to uphill at hill top Dhampus village (1600 M) from Phedi. Through the hiking trail we can obverse village lifestyle of local people, green terrain landscape field panoramic views of gentle Himalayan range Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. Overnight tea house at Dhampus.
Dhampus (1600 M) to landruk (1565 M)
After early morning breakfast we start our trek towards Landruk village via Potana and Deurali. Our trail goes through Danish rhododendron with the verity species of rhododendron flower forest nesting different species of birds, flora and fauna at the village of Chandrakot mostly inhabits by the gurung people. Villagers were warmly greeting and welcome with smile face. Village is small with the typical soon art craft roof with scenic view of Mt. fishtail, Annapurna south, Himchuli front, temples, gumbas and so on. It takes around 4 to 5 hours waking to reach at Landruk village. Our trail goes easy walk on uphill and then ascending down towards the slop hill. Overnight tea house at Landruk.
Landruk (1565 M) to Ghandruk (1930 M)
After early morning breakfast we continue our hike through the gurung community village and the green field. First we drop down to the Modi khola and reach the modi khola river basin and crossing a river through suspension bridge over the river. Then after ascend up towards the hill on stone step trail. During the trail we will can see different species of flower, plant, bird’s, human settlement and so on. In this day a quit difficult because our trail is continuous goes towards the hill top. It takes approximately 4 to 5 hours. In the evening enjoy the sunset view over the Himalayan range. Overnight tea house at Ghandruk.
Ghandruk (1930 m) to Pokhara (827 M)
Explore Ghandruk village see the early morning sun rise views over the Himalayas. Ghandruk there is a beautiful traditional Gurung village with orderly rows of neat slate- roofed houses are clustered on the canyon wall amid a complicated network of terraces where wheat and barley are grown. In typical village to observe the life style of local people, visit old grunge museum. Enjoy breakfast with watching with snowcap Himalayan range Mt. Annapurna ii, Annapurna south, Machapuchare, Dhaulagiri, Himchuli, nigeria. Ghandrung it is a steep descent on a stone staircase down to the Modi Khola. Walk further to Syauli Bazaar, a beautiful Gurung settlement where you stop for Lunch and refreshment. Explore this beautiful village for a while before heading further to Birethanti. About half an hour walk you will be able to reach to the road head at Nayapul that leads to Pokhara. A scenery drive to Pokhara gives you excellent views. It is about an hour drive. Transfer to your hotel at Pokhara.
Drive back to kathmandu from Pokhara
Our trekking is finished we will be drive back to Kathmandu from beautiful lake city Pokhara. It take around 6-7 hours to reach Kathmandu by Drive. Or you can also travel by Air it will take around 25 minutes.
Final Depature
Today is your last day with us in Nepal. You will escort to the airport for your onward destination with the unforgettable moment of your life. Our office representative came at your hotel for pick up and drop you at the airport.

Foot were: well broken-in, walking shoes, thick socks, light socks, camp shoes.
