Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek

Ghorepani - Ghandruk located in Annapurna region, Western Nepal is one of the best trekking in Nepal. The trekking offers the spectacular mountain scenery along with charming villages. The dense Rhododendron forests where 09 species are found and March April May are the months to enjoy beautiful flowers with the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak) and Annapurna dominating the skyline.

Poonhill approximately 3200 m., and the view of sun rise over the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks possibly the most spectacular mountain ranges on Earth. Besides this natural landscapes on the trail is amazing to experience.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at the Tribhawn International airport, Kathmandu our representative from Alfresco Adventure Travel wait for you outside at Arrival gate with your Name card. Our team will welcome and collect your baggage at the airport. By formal introduction with the representative and transferred to your hotel. . In the evening you will enjoy complimentary welcome dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant with Nepalese cuisine. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2

Drive to Pokhara (900 m) from Kathmandu by tourist bus.

After breakfast we start our onward journey to Pokhara after Scenic 6-7 hours (200km) drive you will encounter different landscape of hills and mountains, climate variation, housing pattern of village people, farming land on a seasonable crops and the highway goes along on the bank of Trishuli river and Marsyangdi river you can see Rafting on that river. Then after you will reach the beautiful and peaceful town Pokhara. Or you may take a 30 min flight to Pokhara enjoying the non-stop mountain scenery and valleys. This option costs an extra $109. A city with a large lake that offers us the magnificent views of various mountains. Dhaulagiri, the whole Annapurna range, Machapuchhre (Fishtail) among others. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3

Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk (1950m).

Breakfast in the moring and start drive to Nayapool by car/taxi around 1 hr. Start first leg of trek follow half hour Modikhola, cross the river in Birethati, to follow Modi Khola valley passing Sauly Bazaar it takes 1.30 to 2 hours, and start climb to steps. Lunch will be 12.00 – 13.00 o’clock. And countinues walk to Ghandrku the beautiful Gurung village 5 to 6 hours walk from Nayapul. The beautiful Mountain View and Gurung culture is interest to see. On the evening there is one Mother groups dance programs. You can enjoy dancing or singing with them.

Day 4

Trek to Tadapani (2680m).

Have breakfast early in the morning then after visit Gurung Museum and monastery with beautiful Mountain View. We will start late 11 AM to Tadapani. Passing through the Rhododendrons Jungle the place call Bhaisi Kharka may we will have lunch in there. After lunch 1.30 hours inside the deep jungle. Tadapani means "far water", so it’s on the ride of the hill. The place is famous for sunrise and sunset view of fishtail “Machhapurchhare”.

Day 5

Trek to Ghorepani (2850m) 5 hours.

After breakfast we start your trek, half an hour down to the gorge and climb uphill towards Banthati where there is hotel, continues follow the gorge till to Deurali where we have lunch 12 O’clock. After lunch few minutes climb and then down to Ghorepani inside the lush oak, rhododendron forest.

Day 6

Poon Hill and trek to Tikhedunga (1575m) 4 hours.

Early in the morning hike to Poon Hill (3210m) for magic sunrise view over the snowcapped beautiful Himalayan range panoramic Annapurna, Dhaulageri and many more. Poon Hill is the one of the best breathtaking panorama view point in Nepal. We can see the Dhauligiri range to Manaslu range including the famous Mounthain peak Machhapurche “Fishtail”. Return back to the Hotel and take Breakfast then proceed to down to Nagythati meaning open hut, Banthati meaning Jungle hut and Ullari the beautiful mountain scenic and the village. You have lunch in Ullari and 1.30 hour steeply down to Tikhedunga the bank side of Bhurungdi Khola.

Day 7

Trek to NayaPool and drive to Pokhara.

Today our trek down towards Nayapull passing through Hille, Sudame, Ramghari and Birethati where we start our trek on first day and finally walk to Nayapul. We have lunch in Nayapool and drive back to Pokhara and Transfer to the hotel and visit waterfall and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, return to the lakeside and boating an hour.

Day 8

Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara or fly.

We will Drive or fly back to Kathmandu in the afternoon. The left side of the airplane offers some amazing views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will be escorted to our hotel. We enjoy the day leisurely or catch up on some last minute shopping or explore any landmarks we missed during our first day in Kathmandu. In the evening, we will attend a celebration dinner together. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 9

Final Departure

We will Drive or fly back to Kathmandu in the afternoon. The left side of the airplane offers some amazing views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will be escorted to our hotel. We enjoy the day leisurely or catch up on some last minute shopping or explore any landmarks we missed during our first day in Kathmandu. In the evening, we will attend a celebration dinner together. Overnight in Kathmandu.
